A play on opacity, transparency and reflections in Lisbon
Located in Lisbon, the Tomás Ribeiro project is a residential building divided into six storeys above ground level, which is intended to fill an empty space in a busy area of the city. The building’s relationship with the surrounding area is reflected in the formal characteristics of the elevations, which play on balconies, light and shadows. Meanwhile, the cladding was designed to create a neutral image, featuring a skin in white and wood, flanked by transparent guards. Inside, particular attention was paid to high quality standards, both spatially and in terms of the construction, providing optimum comfort, safety and functionality.
