Introduction
The new Avianca VIP Lounge is part of El Dorado International Airport, one of the most iconic in South America. This innovative space consists of two areas: The Diamond Experience Lounge was designed to provide working conditions to those who need to resolve professional matters at the end of a flight or between flights; the Gold Lounge was designed for leisure and relaxation. The desire for modern architecture to serve airport users, in the sense of humanising and qualifying their travel experience, took precedence.
Both spaces are decorated with modern and comfortable furniture and equipped with innovative flooring. The lighting system paid special attention to the effects on, and interferences with the biology of those who travel –intended to ensure maximum well-being. The VIP Lounge integrates several support spaces: entertainment room, children’s room, meeting room, library and IT area. Certainly an example to replicate around the globe.
