Three volumes extensively connected to the surrounding urban environment
Located in the Colombian capital, Bog Americas is a longitudinally proportioned office building with three fronts. The project’s expressive focus on urban contact allowed it to become deeply integrated into the surrounding urban environment. With an overall floor area of 10.554 sqm distributed over six storeys above the ground, the intervention space represents the logic of an urban block through an architectural solution that goes beyond simple occupation of the plot.
The project’s representative character and its solid integration in its surroundings required special care in the building’s design. In this regard, a volumetric definition was conceived by fragmenting the construction into three volumes united by a common base. This stratification gave rhythm to the construction, creating coherence between the various spaces while safeguarding their different unique identities.
