Igreja da Misericórdia

The Igreja da Misericórdia de Cascais is located in the center of the village of Cascais, next to the famous Rua Direita. The central idea of the Saraiva+Associados Project was to combine the need and urgency of restoring and rehabilitating the built heritage, in a new context, creating a museum and cultural center at the service of the community, in addition to naturally continuing to serve as a place of religious cult. This is an important project to rehabilitate the Church, maintaining its integrity and character as much as possible, both inside and outside the building.
