PRAÇA DA MÚSICA

This project by S+A proposes the creation of a cultural landmark in Oeiras, with the aim of regenerating the city and boosting its economy, history, and global appeal.

The design of the Praça da Música was conceived with the idea of a “single gesture”: a grand square flanked by two residential buildings and crowned by the cultural landmark.

The goal is to create a cultural space featuring a public square framed by two housing blocks, with an auditorium at the far end — a space that will become part of the municipality’s identity and position Oeiras as a destination.

This project aims to create a high-quality space that will be an asset to Linda-a-Velha, enhancing the public realm and the revitalization of its surroundings, while also promoting a shift in the collective architectural paradigm of the Municipality of Oeiras and supporting the dissemination of both national and international culture.
